Hello there, welcome!
My name is Grace, a budding entrepreneur, a digital marketer, and an ardent book lover.
For a long time, I wondered how I could make my mark, albeit small, in the world. After much self-deliberation, I thought why not begin a blog where I could combine and share the things I care about; branding and marketing, books and career progression!
According to Statista, 4.5 billion of the world’s population has access to internet as of April, 2020. This presents a digital goldmine for both online and traditional businesses, with potential for limitless growth through branding and marketing. Unfortunately, it is easier said than done.
The fast-changing technology, ever-evolving customer needs and massive libraries of available data, can prove overwhelming to any business that is trying to adapt to doing business online. This can be especially intense for small businesses and first-time digital entrepreneurs. Frustrating, even.
Therefore, I have made it my mission to share the best branding and digital marketing practices, resources and tools in order to help businesses benefit from the growing internet landscape. Of course, I am aware that the learning curve is huge. That there will be as many successes as there will be failures. But are there failures in marketing, really?
Anyone who knows me will tell you that books are my first love. Actually, if I received a dollar for every story that I read, I would be a millionaire by now. Reading is my perfect thing in my existence. It is what I do when I am happy, sad, confused, angry, restless or with just two minutes to spare!
Through Tiny Book Lens, I will be giving you a sneak peak into my world of books by giving honest book reviews, tips on how to improve your reading groove and finally, secrets to the best book deals ever.
George R.R. Martin said, “A reader lives a thousand lives before he dies. The man who never reads lives only one.” This is one saying I have lived by everyday. And it would be selfish of me to let you only experience one life when you could live through a hundred others.
I enjoy both fiction and non-fiction. To be specific, I am a huge fan of memoirs, self-help books, science fiction, comedy, action, romance, thrillers, mysteries and fantasy. The only thing that I don’t fancy are horror books. Those ones keep me awake at night filled with terror! But if you want to dare me, be my guest.
I have a background in Computer Science and like many other youth, I am also working towards establishing a stable and a fulfilling profession in the industry. Because of this, I do understand the pressure to grow one’s career amidst challenges such as lack of enough experience, high competition, minimum resources, self-doubt, among others.
I felt it was important to have a platform where I could share mistakes, successes and general experiences that I have had in my career journey. By sharing, I hope I will help somebody else to get their dream job, negotiate a pay raise, dare to make a career change, or simply, find more fulfillment through their occupation.
Anyways, enough about me and let’s talk about you. What would you like to hear from me?
Meanwhile, let me be your constant companion, and together, let’s have some fun!
